Dear Parents:
The annual Illinois School Report Card for Deerfield District 109 and 113 and each of the District schools is now available. This report card is published in compliance with provisions of the Better Schools Accountability Law (Section 10-17a of the School Code). The information contained in the report card was collected by the Illinois State Board of Education, which also determines the format and content of the report card. The law requires Districts that maintain an Internet web site to post their report cards online. The District and School Report cards are posted online for the elementary schools at www.dps109.org/ and the high school www.dist113.org/dhs.
The Illinois School Report Card contains a variety of information about the district its schools, including financial information, demographics, instructional information, and assessment data. Additionally, a list of district and school highlights for the school year.
The assessment information is based on testing done during the school year. This information represents a small fraction for the total evaluation process for students in regular and special education, and it is within this context that the results should be viewed. Students are also assessed with routine curriculum-based measures and locally developed tests.
